Siri reveals Apple's WWDC 2016 starts June 13

This year's dates for Apple's annual WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) haven’t been officially announced, but that hasn't stopped Siri from spilling the beans early.

Today, if you ask Siri, "When is WWDC," the iOS voice assistant will answer with real dates instead of generic information.

"The Worldwide Developers Conference will be held June 13 through June 17 in San Francisco," says Siri. "I can't wait!"

Enthusiasm from a virtual assistant for an event that may deliver a collection of surprises is pretty cool. But even better is finding out that Apple may now start dropping these kinds of Easter eggs more regularly as it tries to get more people to pay attention to Siri. The WWDC surprise was noticed early Monday by 9to5Mac.
The mission to boost Siri's profile has also been emphasized in recent celebrity-packed commercials, but by giving Siri the early exclusive on Apple's event news, we now know just how serious the company is about pushing its virtual assistant.
